Updated 2026: Story to Action Lab Project
West Bank: Palestinian Territories
Through oral histories, we capture lived experiences at the intersection of policy, protection systems, and reality: family decision-making, service access barriers, and long-term child well-being impacts, especially connected to single mothers (widowed, abandon, or separated) in these contexts. This supports practitioners and policymakers with evidence-based insights while safeguarding narrators' voices and safety.
Recent trends underscore urgency: In 2026, 581 Palestinians have been displaced by demolitions, with over 100 in recent weeks, including 63 in East Jerusalem; a quarter of 2025 fatalities were children; and injuries while crossing barriers have doubled since September 2025 amid employment desperation.
