Story To Action Lab Nigeria, led by David Oletu (Director of Refugee Archive Africa) and a team of dedicated volunteers, hosted an "Oral History Collection for Social Advocacy" at Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi (formerly Benue State University), on January 31, 2026.

The program focused on ethical storytelling, practical documentation methods, and the real-world impact of amplifying the voices of female-headed households and internally displaced persons.

Our Southeast Asia team is visiting graduate classes in Heritage Studies and Research Methods to introduce our work: the Oral History Collection Project, FHH Policy Tracker Program, Art of Oral History Program, and Annual Journal, and to recruit fellows for our semester-long program. We encourage students to think through these issues in the context of their own countries.
